Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the PlantCare mobile application. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the PlantCare app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. User Accounts & Data
To use PlantCare, you must create an account (e.g., via Apple Sign-In). This allows us to securely back up your garden data and sync it across your devices. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and account credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.
3. AI Features Disclaimer (Important)
PlantCare utilizes Artificial Intelligence to identify plant species, diagnose diseases, and suggest care routines based on weather data. Please be aware:
- AI identification and diagnosis are for informational purposes only and may not be 100% accurate.
- Information regarding plant toxicity to humans or pets is provided as a general guideline and should not replace professional medical or veterinary advice. If ingestion occurs, contact poison control immediately.
- PlantCare is not liable for the health, decline, or death of any plants resulting from following or not following the app's generated care tasks. Environmental factors vary wildly, and user discretion is always advised.
4. User Content
Our App allows you to post, link, store, and share photos and text (e.g., in the Growth Journal). You retain all your ownership rights to your content. By uploading content, you grant PlantCare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display this content solely to provide the App's services to you.
You agree not to upload content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the intellectual property rights of others.
5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
If PlantCare offers premium features via subscriptions or one-time purchases, these transactions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Pricing, payment, and cancellation/refund policies are governed by Apple's Terms of Service. You can manage your subscriptions in your device's Apple ID settings.
6. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
